At any given moment the world exists as a landscape of readymades, slowly crafted by many hands and forces. Like the muliwai (where fresh and saltwater meet), these readymade sculptures are collisions of intention and happenstance, of luck and gravity – scenes of still life hiding in plain sight.

As John Berger suggests of drawing, I photograph “not only to make something observed visible to others, but also to accompany something invisible to its incalculable destination.”
